Meet the Management
PrintAlan Huth
Prior to being appointed South Norwalk Electric and Water’s (SNEW) Chief Executive Officer and General Manager in September 2020, Mr. Huth held the position of Director of Water Operations based at our Wilton Water Treatment Plant facility since joining South Norwalk Electric and Water in February 2018. Mr. Huth draws from a wide range of utility management and large scale commercial construction project experience including high rise, drinking water process plants, pump stations, and pipelines. Before arriving at SNEW, Mr. Huth worked in the Engineering and Planning Department at Aquarion Water Company both as the Manager of New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Special Projects and Manager of Utility Programs.
Alan holds an MBA in Finance from Sacred Heart University and a B.S. degree in Aerospace from Embry Riddle University. Alan has completed the Construction Site Safety Manager Certification training at New York University, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 40-Hour Training Certification, and OSHA and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Asbestos training.
Mr. Huth is a long term resident of Norwalk and a SNEW water customer.
Email AlanElisabeth (Lisa) Burns, PE
Lisa Burns is SNEW’s Director of Water Operations, she is responsible for all aspects of our Water Operations Department. She has over 30 years’ experience in public utility infrastructure operations and engineering management.
She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Lisa is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Connecticut and serves on the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Water Works Association..

Tim Trelease is SNEW’s Interim Comptroller, a position he has held since May of 2024. Previously Tim was SNEW’s Accounting Supervisor. Prior to joining SNEW, Tim held several professional accounting positions in the private sector, ranging from Senior Accountant to Accounting Manager to Controller. At those positions he was involved in all aspects of accounting, budgeting, human resources, and payroll. Tim graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey with a dual major in Accounting and Mathematics. Tim currently oversees all aspects of SNEW’s Accounting and Finance functions and staff.
